I’m a ceramicist working from my studio in Cornwall, in the beautiful South-West of England.
After several years as an academic researcher, I decided to pursue ceramics full-time in 2021, and to document the process of doing so.
I’m based in a small hamlet just outside of Truro and I design and create a range of hand-thrown tableware and one-off decorative pieces. My work is inspired by the beautiful landscape and nature of Cornwall, with simple forms and rustic, understated glazes. I use my own clay blends and enjoy developing unique glaze recipes to create functional pieces that are designed to be used every day and bring joy to simple rituals.
Work is sold through my online shop, which I open three or four times a year. You can sign up to my mailing list to be alerted ahead of shop openings. I also document the work I am making and the processes I use on Instagram and Facebook, where you will also hear about sales and any events that I may be selling at. I amd currently in the process of setting up a larger studio space at home, in which I plan on running workshops and one-to-one lessons for individuals at various stages of their ceramics journey. I can also offer lessons on the wheel as well as hand-building classes at outside venues - please get in touch if this is something you would like to discuss. These can be popular with workplaces, for parties, or just as an opportunity for friends to get together.
I also enjoy taking on projects for cafes and restaurants. If this is something that you are interested in exploring or would like to discuss, please get in touch.
